Imokilly Motor Club Autocross (New Date) Sunday October 14th.

Following the postponement of this event last June and in consultation with the National Autocross Committee as well as with Motor Sport Ireland Imokilly Motor Club are now delighted to announce that this event will now take place on Sunday October 14th. The event will again count as a round of the the National Autocross Championship as well as a round of the Munster Autocross Championship so a really good days racing is envisaged. Due to a grass venue being unavailable at this time the event will take place in a stubble field in Ballingarrane near the village of Shanagarry in East Cork by kind permission of the land owner. COC Finbar Fogarty and his team have put together a challenging route that should suit both the Specials and the Saloons. Registered competitors of both Championships as well as anyone thinking of doing the event are asked to send in their entries ASAP as we feel it’s up to us as a club and to you the competitors to keep this Championship alive. Regulations and entry forms are with Motorsport Ireland at the moment and will be available to download shortly from our website www.imokillymotorclub.com. Brian Hurley RIP (Imokilly Motor Club)

"Brian Hurley sadly lost his brave battle for life today (Monday 30th of April). Brian was an inspiration to us all and we at the Imokilly Motor Club will be forever grateful to have known him. Brian was a highly respected member of our club and will be sadly missed by all who knew him." We at the IMC would like to offer our sincere condolences to all of Brian's family at this very sad time. Rest in Peace Brian.

Robert (Rob) Tynan RIP.

We at the Imokilly Motor Club would like to offer our sincere condolence's to the family of the late Rob Tynan who sadly lost his life in the UK on Monday night. Rob was a valued member of our club for many years and will be sadly missed by all at the IMC, especially his good friend Godfrey Kirby who he navigated for on many the occasion.
May he rest in peace.
